We shall take all practical measures to further expand domestic demand and promote economic growth, carefully and appropriately respond to the international financial crisis and all risks stemming from the international economic environment, and try to maintain the steady and relatively fast development of our economy. The fundamental goal of our Party, in its efforts to lead the people to build a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, and carry out reform and opening up and the socialist modernization drive, is to continuously enhance living standards and enrich people’s cultural activities, and boost the all-round development of the people through developing the productive forces.
