used to與 be used to的用法區(qū)別

1. be used to 意為“習(xí)慣于”，其中的 to 是介詞，所以其后要接名詞或動(dòng)名詞(不能接動(dòng)詞原形)；若要強(qiáng)調(diào)從不習(xí)慣到習(xí)慣的過程，可用 get, become 等代替動(dòng)詞 be。如：

He is used to looking after himself. 他已習(xí)慣于自己照顧自己。

I’m sure I’ll get used to the hard work. 我相信我會(huì)習(xí)慣這艱苦工作的。

注：be used to 有時(shí)可能是動(dòng)詞 use 的被動(dòng)語態(tài)結(jié)構(gòu) (此時(shí)意為“被用來”，其中的 to 為不定式符號(hào)，其后要接動(dòng)詞原形)。如：

A hammer is used to drive in nails. 錘子是用來釘釘子的。

2. used to 意為“過去經(jīng)常”，其中的 to 是不定式符號(hào)，而不是介詞，所以其后只接動(dòng)詞原形(不能接動(dòng)名詞)。如：

He used to live in Paris. 他過去一直住在巴黎。

注：used to 通常不能與表示具體次數(shù)(如 twice, three times 等)或一段時(shí)間(如 three months, five years 等)的詞或短語連用，但是它卻可以與 always, often 等表示經(jīng)常性意義的副詞連用。如：

正：I went to Paris three times. 我去過巴黎 3 次。

誤：I used to go to Paris three times.

正：I lived in the country for three years. 我在鄉(xiāng)下住過 3 年。

誤：I used to live in the country for three years.

正：I always used [used always] to be afraid of dogs. 我過去總是怕狗。

used to 構(gòu)成否定式和疑問式時(shí)通常有兩種方式：即借助助動(dòng)詞did 或直接將 used 用作助動(dòng)詞。如：

He usedn’t [didn’t use] to come. 他過去不常來。

You used to go there, usedn’t [didn’t] you? 你過去常到那兒去，是嗎?

另外，有時(shí)也可見到以下這樣的否定式和疑問式，但不是很普通：

Did you use(d) to be a teacher? 你過去是當(dāng)老師的嗎?

They didn’t use(d) to live here. 他們過去沒住在這兒。

There used to be a cinema here, use(d)n’t there? 往日這里曾有家電影院，是嗎?
