考點(diǎn)8  考查either…or的搭配與用法

either…or…的意思是“要么……要么……”“或者……或者……”，用于肯定其中的一者，而否定其中的另一者。如：

You must either go at once or wait till tomorrow.  你要么馬上走，要么等到明天。

You can either come with me now or walk home. 你要么現(xiàn)在跟我來(lái)，要么步行回家。

通常應(yīng)連接兩個(gè)相同性質(zhì)的句子成分，但有時(shí)后一成分可能省略與前一成分相同的詞。若連接兩個(gè)成分作主語(yǔ)，其謂語(yǔ)通常與靠近的主語(yǔ)保持一致。如：

You can either have tea or coffee. 你喝茶也行，喝咖啡也行。

Either you or I am wrong. 不是你錯(cuò)，就是我錯(cuò)。

三、易錯(cuò)陷阱

陷阱1  誤用because…so…結(jié)構(gòu)

有的同學(xué)由于用漢語(yǔ)的“因?yàn)?/SPAN>……所以”的影響而將誤用because…so…這一錯(cuò)誤結(jié)構(gòu)。由于because為從屬連用，用以引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句，而so為并列連詞，用于連詞兩個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單句使之成為并列句，它們是兩個(gè)性質(zhì)完全不同的連詞，習(xí)慣上不能搭配使用。如：

明天我得工作一整天，所以我沒(méi)有時(shí)間去買東西。     

誤：Because I’m going to be working all day tomorrow, so I won’t have time to shop.

正：I’m going to be working all day tomorrow, so I won’t have time to shop.

陷阱2  誤用although…but…結(jié)構(gòu)

與上面的情況相似，有的同學(xué)由于用漢語(yǔ)的“雖然……但是”的影響而將誤用although…but…或though…but…這類錯(cuò)誤結(jié)構(gòu)。由于although / though為從屬連用，用以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，而but為并列連詞，用于連詞兩個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單句使之成為并列句，它們是兩個(gè)性質(zhì)完全不同的連詞，習(xí)慣上不能搭配使用。如：

雖然這輛自行車很貴，她還是決定買了。

誤：Although the bicycle was expensive, but she decided to buy it.

正：Although the bicycle was expensive, she decided to buy it.

正：The bicycle was expensive, but she decided to buy it.
