非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞否定式的用法說明

不管非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞是一般式，還是進(jìn)行式，或是被動(dòng)式、完成式，其否定式一律是在整個(gè)非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞結(jié)構(gòu)前加not或never。如：

Tony was very unhappy for not having been invited to the party. 托尼為沒有被邀請(qǐng)參加那個(gè)晚會(huì)而感到很不高興。

Not realizing that he was in great danger, Eric walked deeper into the forest. 艾瑞克沒有意識(shí)到自己身處險(xiǎn)境，他朝著森林深處越走越遠(yuǎn)。

Encourage your children to try new things, but try not to push them too hard. 鼓勵(lì)孩子們嘗試新的事物，但盡量不要給他們太大的壓力。

Not having completed the programme, they have to stay there for another two weeks. 由于未完成計(jì)劃，他們不得不在那里再呆兩星期。

注意，對(duì)于in order to do sth和so as to do sth來說，其否定式通常是將否定詞置于to之前（而不是整個(gè)短語(yǔ)之前），意思是“為了不……”“以免……”。如：

I shut the door quietly, so as not to wake the baby. 為了不驚醒寶寶，我輕輕地關(guān)上門。

Please reply at once in order not to lose this opportunity of a lower price. 請(qǐng)立即回復(fù)，以免失去這次低價(jià)的機(jī)會(huì)。

同時(shí)注意，如果不是表示“為了不……”，而是表示“不是為了……”，則用not in order to do sth。如：

One ship might fire a shot at another, not in order to hit it, but to warn it to move. 一只船可能向另一方鳴炮，不是為了擊中目標(biāo)，而是警告其快離開。
